New Awesome Road Bike Loop in Tucson, AZ Thanks to The City of Tucson For Paving a New Section of Road!
There are a bunch of new road bike rides in Tucson, AZ thanks to some new roads that have been connected. The city of Tucson has been putting in tons of bike paths along the washes of Tucson called “The Loop“.
This road bike ride is a new ride thanks to the paving of Wilmot road to Sahuarita. Plus you come back on a portion of The Loop which is new to Tucson.
This one of my new favorite loops to do.
The section up Old Sonoita Hwy is a gradual climb and will get your heart rate up.
The section coming back into Tucson on Wilmot road is a great section for to put your head down and time trial. There is a big lane. The road has just been paved in 2017. Look up and enjoy the mountain views while riding this section… as you can see from the picture below.
