Is there a safe place to park a car out at the intersection of AZ-86 and AZ-386 (Kitt Peak Rd.)? I’m interested in coming down from Phoenix to try this climb, but I wouldn’t have the time (or the fitness!) to make the 100-mile ride from Tucson to Kitt Peak and back.
Yes there are some pullouts along side the road. Or even at the turn at 86 and 386.
